Saturday, March 8 from 7-9:00pm at Tate Street Coffee House, celebrate International Women’s Day and the Female Artist Takeover 2014 weekend with us! Poets Alice Osborn and Maureen Sherbondy visit the Triad for an evening of poetry, music, and open mic.
Alice Osborn’s past educational and work experience is unusually varied, and it now feeds her work as an editor-for-hire, poet, and writing coach. She teaches programs to aspiring authors from ages 9 to 90, and is the author of three books of poetry and the editor of a short story anthology. When she’s not writing you can find her Irish dancing, singing, practicing her guitar and violin or watching True Detective and Game of Thrones.
Maureen Sherbondy’s books are After the Fairy Tale, Praying at Coffee Shops, The Slow Vanishing, Weary Blues, Scar Girl, The Year of Dead Fathers, and Eulogy for an Imperfect Man. She received her MFA degree from Queens University of Charlotte. Maureen lives in Raleigh, NC with her three sons.
